Movie NEWS - 42 : the Jackie Robinson Story


The most important Baseball movie ever to be made.

The legend of Jackie Robinson isn't just one of the most compelling stories of the 20th century, it's one of the most important. At a time when the United States was viciously segregated, Robinson became the first ever black man to play in Major League Baseball, and not only did it change the sport forever it changed the entire country. So the question is, will writer/director Brian Helgeland's upcoming biopic live up the legend? 


Warner Bros. has released a new theatrical trailer was the true-life drama 42, which delivers even more footage that what we previously saw in the first teaser from a few months ago and the featurette from earlier this week. Check out the new preview below or in HD over on Apple

Starring Chadwick Boseman (The Express) as Jackie Robinson, the new film chronicles the story of the man who broke baseball's color barrier in 1947 and changed the world forever, standing tall through endless abuse from fans and teammates alike. Through it all, however, Robinson stood up and took it, and went on to become one of the greatest players in history. Harrison Ford co-stars as Brooklyn Dodger manager Branch Rickey, while the rest of the supporting cast is made up of impressive players like Alan Tudyk, Christopher Meloni, John C. McGinley, Lucas Black, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer, Judy Tylor, Jon Bernthal, Nicole Beharie, and T.R.
